Floating Teacup Garden Part 2

Okay, have you found the perfect cup? If not keep looking you will and if you have then you can follow me with step 2. Out of all the steps 1 and 2 take the longest to me. In step 2 you will need some pliers or other tool to bend your metal. You will want the bottom of the fork flat on the plate. Place some glue, depending on what type of environment the garden wI'll be exposed to. For the purposes of this we are going with indoor. I use gorilla glue sticks for my projects. Put some glue on the plate where you are going to want it and wiggle the fork around until it is covered in glue all the way over the prongs. Now do the same with the cup. This part is a little trickier because you have to make sure to balance the Teacup or the garden will tip over. I will usually wait for the glue to dry on the plate that way I can bend the top part of the metal to get the Teacup to balance. Just as you did with the bottom of the fork do the same to the top. Floating tea cup part 1

Floating tea cup gardens are beautiful and a wonderful way to express your creative side. They can be used for center pieces at a wedding, a gender reveal party, an anniversary, etc. So how do you make one? Personally I start with my tea cup and saucer. You will need a piece of wire (or my favorite, a fork) to glue to the saucer and cup. I have read to use 32 guage wire, however; I have never tried that so I can not recommend it. I am one of these people that need a step by step guide. So 1. Teacup and saucer. To me this is the fun part. Looking for that perfect set that sparks my imagination and sends off that light bulb. The best place to start of course is your own dishes. If you can't find the perfect one then I would suggest flea markets, yardsales, thrift store's, anywhere there could be the perfect teacup. Come back tomorrow and we will talk about what the next step will be. See you tomorrow!
